Green travel planning using bicycles

Sites should try to measure and reduce the carbon footprint of their site as much as possible.

One way sites can do this is through carefully considered green travel planning.

Below is an example of how one site used bikes to reduce their site’s carbon footprint:

  • Bicycles were used instead of vans to carry small amounts of tools;
  • This site consisted of 365 homes which made bicycles ideal to move from house to house;
  • These bicycles were designed with further information about the project on them to make the community aware of the projects progress.
