Guidance for Working in Cold Weather

Workers often face difficult working environments due to the various weather conditions they have to work through.

Consideration should be given to the conditions facing operatives and the measures that can be developed and implemented to counteract the impact of these environments.

There are several resources available which show what can be done to protect your workforce from cold weather:

  • Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have an employers guide to outdoor working at different temperatures, which you can view by clicking here;
  • UCATT have a list of guidelines on working in cold weather which you can view by clicking here.
