Habitat Lesson for Year 7 Pupils

Interserve staff currently building Bishops Hatfield Girls School took time out of their day to put together a 60 minute lesson for Year 7 students on habitat.

Students were shown the process and consideration needed during the building process including information about the key priorities (Badgers, Newts, Bats), consequences of disturbing habitat and the opportunity to build their own hedgehog hides around the edge of site, that will be a lasting legacy.

Feedback from students and staff was very positive with one quote from a student saying:

“I had no idea that I could work with wildlife and construction, and now I think that’s what I want to do. Thank you “
