Hand sanitisation facilities for the public

Upon leaving London’s City Airport by DLR or car you can only walk to the adjacent hotels through a single public footpath which is covered in a timber gantry and hoarding from this project

The contractor has therefore provided hand wash and hand sanitiser facilities for travellers on the public footpath. This was completed at the start of the coronavirus outbreak before Government advice took hold and is used by many air passengers coming into the area.

This example of best practice is just one way that projects can work to tackle the virus and reduce the spread. For full guidance and the latest Government advice read the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures.
