Hands Free Drilling System

The innovation involves a hands free drilling rig with an accompanying vacuum extraction system specifically designed and constructed for use in drilling long rows of pins into surface concrete. These pins secure forms used to place hand lay airfield Pavement Quality Concrete.

In the airfield pavement construction environment the largest source of HAVS work is related to this activity with sometimes hundreds of pins required to be drilled each shift. This piece of kit completely eliminates the associated HAVS risk whilst also significantly reducing the exposure to and risk posed by silica dust.

The unique design is quick and easy to manoeuvre around meaning that a high number of holes can easily be drilled in a shift.

All in all this piece of kit eliminates exposure to hazards of occupational health whilst still being efficient and effective.
