Harvesting waste water from office sink

Our Stotfold/ Fairfield team have devised a solution to harvest waste water from the site office’s sink.

By running guttering from the waste pipe into a raised tank lined with gravel and hessian, which was created using surplus wood, the water is filtered and then runs into a water butt on site. The water is then used for watering the variety of plants around the site, and for washing down tools and machinery.

Last month alone, they harvested approximately 1,000 litres of water!
