HAVI – Keeping Hands Safe

On the Royal Albert Dock project for Multiplex we are trialling HAVI (Hand Arm Vibration Indicator) to our contractors for the most technologically advanced HAV risk management system. Following the results of the trial it will be mandatory for all using vibrating tools to use HAVI.

HAVI offers reliable data monitoring and is versatile as it is not the watch that does the trigger time measurements it is the monitor which is mounted on to the tool. The monitor can be easily synced to the user wearing the watch and will only ever be connected to one watch at a time so it will not continue to monitor all users via one device which monitors the individual HAV use and not the tool.

As part of HAVI they also have access to “the tool advisor website” which is free to join and offers free current up to date tool information and free vital tool data noise vibration levels.

Tool advisor is a resource our contractors use to help them benefit from the latest, most pertinent and independently generated data available.
