Hazard and Rehearsal Academy

To support the launch of their 5 Major Risks and Life Saving Rules this contractor have set a dedicated educational and learning area at the project.

This is a physical demonstration of the 5 major risks that have been effecting the whole global civil engineering industry. The facility immerses personnel into their hazards with physical exhibits including overturned plant from the site and many photographs of their activities to make this local and familiar for maximum impact.

The facility becomes a part of the induction programme and can be run by supervisors for short sharp upskilling and will be the focus of improvement in practical skills and hazard spotting skills.

The contractor is using the facility with their apprentices and new incumbents, but it is designed to be suited to schools and STEM engagement including local community.
