Health advice for operatives

Health risks should be identified and advice provided to operatives whenever possible.

Examples of how site managers have provided health advice to their workforce include:

  • A ‘Wellman pack’ was issued to all operatives giving information and help-line numbers for various health, social, domestic and safety issues;
  • Advice leaflets, on relevant health conditions, as well as a card, dealing with abusive and non-abusive behaviour, were made available at induction;
  • Presentations were arranged to address the issues surrounding testicular cancer.
