Health Screening

The team at Marsh Farm, Luton and its sub-contractors were invited to attend free health screening on site as part of Keepmoat’s commitment to improve the health and wellbeing of its workforce.

The health life style service, provided by ‘Live Well Luton’, provides free information and practical support to help people become healthier. The free and confidential health checks were organised by the team to encourage staff to take the steps needed to protect their health and wellbeing by identifying the key health conditions that may put them at risk.

Two types of test were available on the day – a full NHS health check for the over 40s and a mini health check for the under 40s. The latter checked blood pressure, cholesterol levels and assessed height, weight and medical history to identify a ‘risk’ to developing a heart or kidney disease, type 2 diabetes or suffering a stroke.

Kevin Callow, from our sub-contractor, Anderson APC said:

“The health check was brilliant, and really helped to put my mind at rest. It has motivated me to start thinking more about my lifestyle and what I can do to maintain good health. I would definitely recommend people to take advantage of a screening programme.”
