Healthy Competition

In our efforts to raise health awareness within the site team, we have discussed and promoted nutrition and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. We also have regular blood pressure monitoring with discussions about occupational cancers and diabetes.

In an effort to further this awareness on site we realised that many have a keen interest in sport and sport not only keeps us fit and healthy but also promotes team building, this team building can be useful and directly associated with day to day work on site.

Every 2nd week a group of the site team play football at the local pitch – ten players, who vary each time regardless of experience, can join in. Their fitness is raised and the team building experience they develop is used on site; they then work as part of a team and in a safe manner, looking out for each other.
