Helpful Hints for the Code of Considerate Practice – Workforce

Being registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) means we need to demonstrate our commitment to the Code.

The CCS Code of Considerate Practice is effectively communicated to our workforce through a sheet of helpful hints covering all five sections of the code.

Through reading this document our workforce understands the importance of the Code and how it should be applied.

Here are some of the helpful hints we suggest to comply with the ‘Value their Workforce’ section of the code:

  • Ensure adequate welfare provisions are provided. and that they are clean and screened from the public;
  • Place a simple daily cleaning sheet in the welfare facilities and make sure it is up to date;
  • Fit a skin safety centre in the welfare facilities;
  • Fit a sun screen station in the welfare facilities;
  • Include details of our cover up policy and explain risks of sun exposure at induction;
  • Give toolbox talks describing how the site effects the surrounding area and take measures to minimise inconvenience as much as possible.
