Helping the local community by donating equipment

At the beginning of August, L A Moore Ltd were awarded the contract to demolish the redundant main school buildings at Knowle Primary School, West Park, Plymouth by Main Contractors, Willmott Dixon Construction Ltd, following the construction of the new School buildings on the site.

Within the redundant buildings L A Moore Ltd employees noted that there were several items of reusable kitchen equipment that may benefit a local charity and L A Moore Ltd telephoned various charities around the area making enquiries to establish if anyone could use the equipment.

Shekinah Mission (Plymouth) Ltd, who support local people with issues such as homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse, offenders, mentally ill and long-term unemployed, willingly accepted the donation.

L A Moore Ltd are proud to be members of the Considerate Constructors Scheme and help local communities, whilst at the same time playing a major part in recycling materials that would otherwise have gone to landfill.
