Highways Skip Loading System

Finding new solutions to reduce the issue of dust and noise pollution is key to protect the environment and minimise disruption to the local community.

Dust and noise are two aspects that will always be prevalent on a construction site.

Therefore it is important that sites are always open to new methods to monitor and reduce the impact as necessary.

The example below demonstrates how a site minimised the nuisance of dust and noise:

  • A skip loading system previously used in the railway environment was used on a highways application;
  • A bespoke lifting gantry and use of bottom discharging Conquip skip with a steel framework guaranteed the secure and quick loading of lorries;
  • An integrated dust suppression curtain also minimised noise and dust pollution.
