History Themed Newsletter for the Ex Service Community

It is important for sites to demonstrate respect for their local communities and build connections with residents to help improve the image of the construction industry.

See the examples below for how one site achieved this:

  • The project involved building 68 new homes for the ex-service community, within an estate which is currently home to over 270 ex-service people and their families.
  • In keeping with the theme of ex-services and the historical setting, the site team decided to display information on the history of the local area, servicemen related to the buildings, as well as the current project in a sepia-coloured newspaper with historical fonts, as would have been common in those times.
  • This has given what would have been an otherwise standard information board an old world charm and has been well received by local residents and visitors.
