Holding a mental health week across all sites

Mental health issues and concerns can often be difficult to address.

Mental health and stress can have a negative impact on individuals lives and wellbeing as well as leading to physical health problems.

It is important that the issues surrounding mental health are addressed in the workplace, with sufficient support and advice available.

Below is an example of how company’s can address the issue of mental health:

  • A ‘Mental Health Week’ was held across all sites;
  • This included extended toolbox talks, with all operatives asked to fill out a ‘Stress test’ scored questionnaire to assess their stress resistance levels;
  • The company used a free downloadable resource from the International Stress Management Association (ISMA).

As a result of this event, excellent awareness of mental health issues were achieved.
