Honor Goodsite’s Big Build has returned for its third year! The competition is free to enter and open to all Scheme-registered sites, companies and suppliers.
The Big Build competition is a fantastic way for all contractors to engage with their local communities by asking them to build a famous or fictional structure out of recyclable materials. All entrants need to do is set a date with their chosen school or community group, collect recyclable materials – and build!
Not only does this competition allow contractors to give children an insight into the construction industry, it also allows them to encourage children to think creatively about an important issue – the environment. Contractors will be able to show children how they reduce their impact on the environment, and the children will be able to take that knowledge away and apply it to their everyday lives.
Last year’s Big Build competition was a great success with 40 entries and more than 1,000 people taking part. We would love to beat it this year!
