Hot Works Control Map

Our team have developed a Hot Works Control Map for use on our extension and refurbishment project at 55 Douglas Street, Glasgow, to track and monitor any operations which involve hot works.

At the beginning of each day, anyone completing hot works completes a Clark Contracts Hot Works Permit and submits this to the site team for review and approval. Following this, they place a red pin on the location the hot works will be completed. Once the hot works are complete, the operatives call the site office to change their pin to amber which signifies the commencement of a 1-hour fire watch.

Once this hour passes, the pin is changed to green to indicate that the area is safe. Any areas which have a green pin at the end of the day are closely inspected at the final site walk round before being removed from the map to ensure it is clear for the next day.
