Hydraulic Manhole Lifter

A contractor recently performed telecom remedial works to a manhole on the project.

Typically, operatives would use a manual cast-iron manhole key, which poses a high risk of injury, especially back and arm injuries.

Instead they utilised a hydraulic manhole lifter, a robust steel device capable of lifting up to 2 tons on nylon wheels.

This initiative eliminates manual handling, significantly reducing the risk of injuries when lifting the cover.
