Image of Construction 2018

The annual Considerate Constructors Scheme’s increasingly popular annual Image of Construction is a must-attend for everyone who is registered with the Scheme.

It provides a unique opportunity to learn more about all aspects of considerate construction from senior Scheme Monitors, award-winning sites and companies, and leading UK industry organisations.

Image of Construction is ideal for those new to the Scheme, as the event educates attendees about the Code of Considerate Practice, how Monitors score considerate performance, what is meant by innovation and how to identify it.

Last year’s presentations included:

  • Question Time – Our panel of Scheme Directors and Monitors were asked questions about the Scheme and its Code of Considerate Practice;
  • Scoring Exercise – An interactive workshop gave delegates an increased understanding of how the Scheme’s scoring system works, giving teams the edge in terms of knowledge and preparation;
  • Innovation – Explored the ‘x-factor’ which sets your project apart from the rest. This thought-provoking session on innovation was designed to encourage delegates to ‘think outside the box’ to devise unique working methods;
  • How we won an Award – Previous winners of National Awards talk about their success in their own words. Examples were given from a cross-section of sectors and award levels, and defined by project values.

Organisations that supported the event through presentations and exhibits last year include: BOHS, CITB, CRASH, the Home Office, IOSH, Lighthouse Club, Prince’s Trust, Prostate Cancer, SKCIN and Social Enterprise UK.
