Inflatable drip tray

As part of the environmental plan, there should be effective containment storage for hazardous and polluting materials and chemicals.

It is essential that every site gives very careful consideration to its potential impact on the natural environment.

Arrangements should be made for appropriate refuelling areas with bunded tanks, drip trays and spill kits made available and used by trained staff, as appropriate.

Below is an example of how sites have reacted to spills and potential contamination:

  • An inflatable drip tray was used as a safe way of collecting environmentally polluting oil and fuel spills, from plant and site vehicles;
  • These could be washed and re-used, and then deflated for easy storage.
