Inflatable Structures to Reduce Noise

All sites should prioritise the health and safety of their workforce.

They should also consider the impact of noisy work on other members of the workforce, as well as neighbouring houses, schools, businesses and residents.

Below is an example of how a site overcame the issue of noisy works:

  • Made to fit ‘blow up’ walls were used to provide sound insulated spaces around the site;
  • These can be used to separate areas of construction from occupied areas or provide walls around noisy site activities such as cutting areas;
  • The inflatable structures are designed to fit specific ceiling heights;
  • They are self sealing due to them being air filled, which ensures that a tight fit is always maintained around them.
