Internal/External Communication Platform

Here at Francis Construction we have introduced an internal communication platform called “SLACK” to all employees. This platform has been introduced as part of our continual development in engaging with our staff. We hope that this platform would help bridge the gap between our site employees and our office-based employees.

We use “SLACK” to update all our staff on the very latest business updates, social media posts and details of upcoming work social events. We are encouraging all members to post progress updates from their projects. We felt that this platform would help to reduce the number of emails sent around the company.

You are able to create channels that you can invite users to, which suits their job role. For example we have a General Team channel for all users but we also have job specific channels, where they can share best practice and help resolve issues.

We currently only use this for internal communication, however you do have the option to upgrade and use this for your external customer communication.

You are able to download SLACK either to your computer or the App for free, which is great for our site employees to keep informed who do not have a company laptop.
