Ivor Goodsite visits Victory Pier

Opportunity:

When Ivor Goodsite visited Victory Pier to present the medals to school children winning the Hoarding Competition, he took the opportunity to tour our development.

He gave us hints and tips on how to improve the image of the construction industry and a photographic record was made of his visit.

The photos were used as a fun way to inform staff, subcontractors and local residents about the Considerate Constructors Scheme and how we improve the image of the construction industry at Victory Pier.

Proposal:

Posters were made of the five aspects of the Considerate Constructors Scheme: Appearance, Community, Environment, Safety and Workforce. These were put up on site, in the canteen, on the notice board and featured in the site newsletter.

Benefits:
• It promotes CCS to the younger community.
• It is a fun way to raise awareness of the effort Berkeley Homes goes to in order to minimise the impact of construction in the locality.
• It depicts how Berkeley Homes promotes good practice and is an exemplar site for the industry.
