Keeping the Air Fresh

Remediation of a contaminated site can result in the release of unpleasant odours, which, whilst not harmful to health or the environment, can be a significant nuisance, impacting on local residents’ quality of life.

To mitigate this, the project has on site a trailer-mounted odour suppressant system that can be used to minimise smells travelling over the site boundary.

This system neutralises odours by spraying into the air a very fine mist that contains a non-toxic compound that breaks down odour molecules to a harmless form and leaves a pleasant fragrance in the air. The chosen fragrance on this particular project was sea breeze!
