Knowledge Quad

This initiative relates to the establishment of the Knowledge Quad (KQ) on site. The KQ is a fully furnished and equipped training area which is open for use by the local community, and is typically used to look at tackling skills shortages within the Liverpool City Region.

Blackburne House is using the KQ for two days per week for five weeks to teach candidates a range of construction-related aspects: all candidates will be supported in acquiring a CSCS card.

The KQ was used during National Apprentice Week, 2019 to hold a breakfast event celebrating the impact of apprentices. It is noteworthy that the Contractor has provided a lift to ensure that access to the KQ is available to all.
