Kobot Remote Cutting
This contractor has purchased a cutting machine which uses remote application to measure and cut boards for the dry liners.
This brings a reduction in wastage as the machine calculates the best way to cut a board reducing waste created from off-cuts. There is also a time saving as much less time is needed to measure and cut.
Other benefits include:
- Better dust management – The robot has variable cutting speeds to reduce dust and has an implemented extraction system
- Increased accuracy – All cuts are within 1mm of what is inputted into the cutting requirements
- Reduction in manual handling – The handling of boards and use of hand tools is reduced, which therefore reduces the risk of injury
- Removes the need to clean board joints prior to gluing as all cuts are free of dust
