Lake Aeration through Venturi Effect

In the summer months on this project, the lake has suffered from blue algae which can be deadly to the fish and the natural habitat on site.

This contractor is using a device with a normal pump which has been modified to allow Venturi effects under the water surface.

The Venturi effect is the reduction in fluid pressure that results when a fluid flows through a constricted section (or choke)
of a pipe.

Using these measures ensure that they protect the environment and increase the oxygen levels in the lake.
