Stand Up campaign
Sites should be able to demonstrate that they care for the health and wellbeing of all members of their workforce.
This includes identifying occupational health risks and providing first aid and emergency information.
Land Securities have launched their ‘Stand Up’ campaign aimed at workers who are sitting for long periods of time during the working day.
Whilst the Scheme recognises that many construction workers are on their feet for long periods of time, office based employees can be sitting for an average of 8 hours every day.
All workers should be encouraged to better their health through regular exercise and healthy eating.
