As part of our engagement programme with staff, the contract leadership team carried out a series of contract roadshows for our 350 staff with average attendances of 50 at each session.
The roadshows started with a time for coffee, biscuits and fruit. There then followed a presentation by some of the members of our contract leadership team. This summarised contract performance, financial performance, client view and included a novel way of communicating facts and figures in the form of the popular game show Blockbusters.
This aided engagement and connectivity with the attendees and received positive feedback. The Blockbusters element also included elements of our registration with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and a reminder of the aims of the scheme.
Following the presentation there was time for questions and answers with the contract leadership team on hand to address any concerns raised. After this the staff broke out into breakout sessions to consider two key questions.
First what they enjoy most about their job role and working for the company.
Secondly what they think could we could collectively improve in the future.
Each table was facilitated by a member of the contract leadership team.
The roadshows were built on ensuring two way communication and feedback shows that this was achieved, with many positive comments back from staff on the level of engagement and willingness to listen.
