Legato Blocks to Assist Dewatering

Due to the nature of the works, the project needed to dewater the dock to proceed with works, but as the Thames is tidal, there were issues with water seeping through the weir wall.

Legato blocks from another project who no longer needed them were positioned to prop the weir wall to protect the workforce from the adjacent River Thames during the main works to the dock.

Additionally, the project team have installed temporary drainage along the internal walls of the dock to manage water ingress seeping through the structure and into the dock during works.

This drainage will help collect this water effectively which once the piling mat is in place, will be pumped back into the River Thames.
