Continuous learning development should always be encouraged for the workforce.

It is important to provide opportunities to develop the workforce.

This can be directly associated with the company’s interests and future, as well as the individual themselves.

Such training is vital towards raising standards of the industry’s skilled workforce and also maintaining engaged and ever-progressing employees.

One site demonstrated this ambition through the following example:

  • Lifelong learning was promoted – the site registered with FALNI (Forum for Adult Learning in NI) as the first NI construction company to so do, helped develop the FALNI Learning Manifesto, showcased opportunities through Belfast Festival of Learning and Adults Learners Week and applied the principles of Learning for Life through its Social Clauses and Health Promotion Calendar;
  • An extensive range of work with practical applications and exposure of the company and the industry to participants from diverse area and sectors with opportunities to influence and learn.
