Live Online Waste Data

This contractor’s Live Online Waste Data (LOWD) provides an approach to waste removal which maximises the diversion from landfill, whilst minimising the clients costs.

Each trade contractor working on site, is required to request a number of bins for the collection of their waste. The trade contractor must notify them which waste streams are going to be generated by their operations.

The contractor will then label the bin using the correct waste stream and name of the trade contractor responsible for disposing waste into the particular bin. The bin is then given a unique bar code number prior to being issued to the trade contractors operative.

Once the bin has been requested, the trade contractor will bring the bin to their work area, fill the bin, and return it to the compound area using the bar code system. The bin is placed on the platform scales and weighed. The weighing data information is logged onto a tablet and stored on the online waste system. Reports are generated on a monthly basis to give a more clearer idea of what waste streams and how much waste is being generated.
