Lone Worker App

During the lift shaft installation on the project, the contractor used a fully managed app that provides lone workers with the ability to raise alerts, contact an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and request emergency assistance if required.

The app is fully compliant and enables companies to protect, monitor and support the wellbeing of lone workers and ensure their wellbeing as they operate in potentially hostile or dangerous working environments. It provides a range of alerts that enable lone workers to call for assistance if required. It also provides a ‘Virtual Buddy’ that helps provide reassurance in potentially high-risk environments, all alerts are completely configurable to ensure that they meet the needs of the specific lone worker.

This product provides access to an advanced smartphone app ‘Safe Hub’, to ensure employees are fully protected. There is also a feature called ‘Safe Check’ which sends a periodic voice, text or email message at pre-set intervals requesting an identity code to confirm that the individual is ‘OK’, the worker is then required to sign in. If all is well, the system resets until the next message response is due, GPS location can also be set to suit.

In addition, there is an SOS Fob which is small and can be carried in a pocket or worn on a specially developed identification badge holder, produced on demand via 3D printing.
