The LSE CBR project is at the heart of the LSE campus and therefore has lots of interaction with the neighbouring students and staff.

As part of Freshers Week 2018, we designed a Snapchat lens and filter for students around the campus, advertised on posters and our Freshers Fair stand. The lens could be activated by simply taking a photo of the ‘snapcode’ (QR code) on the poster in Snapchat.

The lens would then pop up for the user to use. Additionally, when photos are sent using this lens, the receiver also gets the option to use the lens too.

This is the first time a snapchat lens has been used to reach out to the younger generation and to get a feel for wearing PPE while making them aware of the construction sites on campus.

The Snapchat lens was a large success receiving well over 100 views, as well as being a lot fun to use by students and staff alike.
