Making Concrete On Site

This contractor is making their own concrete on site. This is a saving of over 92 miles in ready-mix transport every week.

They are also reducing concrete waste by only creating what is required – saving 4 cubic metres of wasted concrete per week. The equivalent of over 1.5 tonnes of embodied Co2 every week, or 25 tonnes for the whole project.

A travel ready-mix truck emits on average 1.55kgs of carbon per mile. Over the duration of the project they are saving 2400kg just from this measure.

This roadworthy Carmix plant can be used on similar sized compound/workface projects.
