PHS working with Prostate Cancer UK have created a toolkit for the construction industry providing resources and guidance on male incontinence.

Male incontinence is a topic that is rarely talked about. This has resulted in a common misconception amongst the public, that male urinary incontinence is a problem only affecting old men. But research shows this is an incorrect stereotype.

Over half of UK men experience urinary incontinence while the annual incidence rate for urinary incontinence for men over 40 is around 4% in the UK. In addition to this, 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer, with many of these men experiencing urinary problems as a side effect of their treatment.

To fight stigma and raise awareness of male incontinence and period equality in the workplace, phs have worked with Prostate Cancer UK to prepare a toolkit for the construction industry.
