Managed Staff Recognition at Awards Ceremonies

We know the importance of valuing our workforce and are always looking for ways to recognise and reward staff for good performance, going above and beyond what their job role requires or helping and inspiring colleagues to reach their potential. This aligns with our business value of ‘developing, valuing and respecting our people’ and ‘enjoying what we do’.

One way we do this is to invite staff or operatives to regional and national award ceremonies. This is not simply a case of finding 10 names to fill a table, but having a robust plan in place to ensure this is shared around those who deserve to attend, and we also track attendance to ensure this being shared across teams to include support and enabling staff as well as front line, or client facing staff.

From our project alone, 123 different staff have been invited to attend award ceremonies with senior managers and leaders of the business, all helping build a business where our people feel valued and are able and comfortable in engaging in 1-2-1 conversations with colleagues whether that be at technician level of managing director level. This has helped create a positive culture and is often cited in staff surveys as a helping build a positive and engaging culture across the business.
