Meals for Wheels Challenge

The site team are taking part in a static relay bike race which is a challenge to raise money for Fareshare, a national charity who distribute food to disadvantaged children during the school summer holidays.

Fareshare have distribution centres throughout the UK and most of the contractors schemes are located close to Fareshare schemes.

All Eurovia Contracting North divisions are taking part in and the challenge is for all the peddling efforts to peddle the distance of all their main offices and depots thorough the UK.

Each week a static bike will be in place at the Eurovia compound and 23 riders will be taking part. As a team they will be cycling continuously from 6.45am till 4.00pm.

At the close of the week they had collectively ridden 1,172 km on the bike smashing the target of 650km. There were also those who took part in remote riding which increased the total by 1,109.41km giving a total for the week of 2,228.41km.
