Mental Health Check-in Days

This contractor has recognised the importance of mental health and with the recent coronavirus lockdowns it has become more apparent that people are struggling.

With the lack of social interaction this brings, they decided to create the Mental Health Check-in Day. Across all their sites and head office they ask everyone to dedicate a day monthly to calling members of their team and workforce to check in with them, to see how they are doing and to speak about anything other then work.

They can either be via phone or meeting up for a coffee if local or going for a walk. The aim is to help each other open up about what is going on beside the pressure of the projects.

They have found that talking to someone in a similar situation work wise has been easier for people to open up.
