Construction News have launched their ‘Mind Matters’ campaign, coinciding with the launch of the Mates in Mind initiative. The campaign aims to raise awareness of mental health issues in the industry, and combat the stigma surrounding talking about problems with stress, anxiety and depression.
Using their reach in the industry, Construction News intends to lobby leaders and professionals to take mental health seriously. This will be achieved through an industry-wide survey, with the report released for free online and distributed to government and charity figures.
Mind Matters, supporting existing services and campaigns, will also host an online hub offering news and advice for those seeking help for mental health issues. The campaign will ask leading members of the industry to pledge action on mental health, using the hashtag #CNmind.
