New District (Canary Wharf) is a large site with operatives facing a 10-15 minute walk to the main welfare centre from the furthest areas on site.

To overcome this problem and provide workers with a closer place for respite, a number of ‘mini welfare’ points have been set up across the site.

These stations are equipped with water coolers and first aid kits, while also providing a relief area during hot and cold weather without requiring workers to make the long journey back to the main centre.

These welfare points are portable and therefore can be relocated easily depending on what area of the site the main works are.
