Minimising Carbon Footprint

Following the CCS ‘Spotlight on… air pollution’ learning toolkit, this site completed the e-learning module and undertook further reading around the issue.

The site team then found an article published on the BBC website which included a postcode checker for air pollution levels.

They entered our site information and realised they were in an area of low air pollution.

This was a great tool to highlight the potential impact that a construction site can have on the local community.

Displaying the score alongside the rest of the project’s environmental KPIs helps reinforce the diligence we need to have with regards to minimising carbon footprint.

This is also reinforced through regular environmental toolbox talks.
