Focus Logistics have started utilising the Orca food waste macerator as a sustainable way to process food waste from construction projects.

The macerator mimics the natural digestion process, it works using the same principles that our body and other living organisms are governed by. It creates the perfect thermophilic biological environment for microorganisms to convert food waste into a liquid.

Waste food from the canteen is fed into the lid and pulverised by metal chips and diluted with water to allow it to be fed directly into the mains drainage system. This has enabled Focus Logistics to tackle the issue of disposing food waste on site.
