Minimising the impact of vibration

Proactive steps should be taken to control and minimise the impact of vibration, where possible.

It is important to protect the local environment and reduce disturbances to neighbouring buildings.

This has been achieved through the use of vibration monitors and utilising the remote reading functions of them.

Alarms were set for when works were reaching an agreed level to warn the Project Manager of any works that may cause high levels of vibration.

This information allowed the Project Manager to identify activities that would cause high levels of vibration and begin to manage them accordingly, to ensure minimal disturbance.
