Moat Vertical Exclusion Zone System
On IQL S9 we have implemented a moat exclusion zone system of Heras fence ‘Zones’. Each zone, installed around the perimeter of the building, is 5x5m with a lockable gate.
To access a zone the contractor has to fill out a permit, detailing the works being carried out, which is then signed off by Lendlease allowing entry. When a zone is booked out the two adjacent zones cannot be booked out by different contractor, providing a 5m exclusion either side of the work area and vertically up the floors of the building.
This enables works along the perimeter of the structure such as facade installation, safety screen install and any high risk lifting out through moats to be carried out safely.
