Mobile Lane Barrier and Road Rake

Highways works propose unique risks to workers due to their proximity to dangerous areas and measures should be taken to minimise these risks.

See the examples below for how one site addressed this:

  • The site implemented two measures to improve safety during highways works.
  • The Road Rake clears up debris mechanically, eliminating the need for carriageway crossings, live lane working and working on foot while ensuring minimal disruption to road users.
    – This system is particularly useful on all-lane running sections with no hard shoulder.
  • The Mobile Barrier protects the workforce from traffic and reduces noise to improve communication. It can be dragged into place by a truck, is quick to remove and reduces the number and duration of lane closures and congestion removing the need for coning off areas.
