Modern Slavery Event

As part of their work in tackling Modern Slavery, the team at One Crown Place held an event with Hope for Justice.

The event comprised of a series of toolbox talks for contractors on site, with advanced notice of the event communicated to ensure operatives from all trades could attend, and held at a suitable time so that it would not negatively impact their work.

Following these 10 mins toolbox talks, a series of 30 mins talks were then held for Mace staff to attend to understand in more detail, signs to look for and how to signpost.

The final part of the event was a drop-in session in the project canteen where the two speakers from Hope for Justice set up a stand with banners and literature for any operatives to approach to discuss any concerns or find out more details.

Posters and leaflets in multiple languages were also supplied on the day in all sessions and left with the project team to use. The project team were advised to display these openly to raise awareness, but also more privately such as in bathrooms, where people can privately take a note of a contact number without anyone else knowing.
