National Stress Awareness Day

National Stress Awareness Day is coordinated annually by the International Stress Management Association (ISMA).

The day is focused on reducing stress and enhancing wellbeing and performance at work.

To support National Stress Awareness Day on your site, you could do the following:

  • Provide an open door policy and supportive work environment;
  • Make sure all your operatives are aware of any support that is available to them through your company;
  • Support the Construction Industry Helpline, through donations or by purchasing wristbands and posters. Click here to find out more.
  • Conduct a toolbox talk to raise awareness of stress and the impact this can have;
  • View the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s ‘Spotlight on…mental health’ for further ideas about how other companies are addressing wellbeing and stress in the workplace.

National Stress Awareness Day takes place on the first Wednesday in November every year.
