Neighbourhood Liaison

It is important to keep the public updated and informed, to build good relationships and minimise the volume of potential complaints.

Examples of how to help keep local residents fully involved include:

  • Prior to work commencing, all site personnel were personally introduced to the occupants of the property in which they were working;
  • The site provided a covered public observation point with a brief description of what was, and would be, happening, together with a CCS poster and Scheme-related information;
  • The site arranged for the adjoining shop premises to display the site’s regular newsletter and to keep a stock of CCS ‘Construction work in your area’ flyers, to give to interested customers.
